If you are feeling blue or even downright depressed, going out for a walk, a run, or doing any other form of aerobic exercise can help you fight yourself out of your bad mood.

    Why?

Because exercise boosts certain chemicals (neurotransmitters) in your brain, which can make you feel happier. It's what experts call the runner's high.

The runner's high is subtle. It won't make you feel euphoric. But it can make you just happy enough to make the rest of your day feel pretty good.

    I start my day(except the weekends) with a 2 mile jog/walk around a marina.

It's relaxing and kind of kick starts my day.

It took me nearly 3 months to go from being able to only run 100 yards to being able to run until I decide to stop. I didn't enjoy it until about 2.5 months into it. Unfortunately I injured my knee right after I started liking it. I just ran my first mile yesterday after almost 4 weeks of rest. I love it.
