How often do you visit Admin Talk?

I try to visit Admin Talk about three times a day or more, it all depends on how busy I am on any particular day. But, I'm moving to my new two bedroom apartment later today, so I won't have internet for a couple of days. I think the internet/cable company will be coming on Monday or Tuesday.

So, how often do you visit Admin talk?

 

Moat days, multiple times.

 

everyday usually and multiple times a day(at least 3-4)....i learned to start using the new posts to check on new posts vs just scanning the forums like i used to

(There's a benefit of all admin forums being on Xenforo...the new post thing is more in my face and it allows me to easily find what's been posted since my last visit)

I did sort of stop visiting/posting much, simply because I was tired of the vb bash threads here but spending the past few months daily at taz, I am appreciating the smaller size and overall chill nature of atalk again. While complete bias free can't exist, it would be so much better to find a community where the staff doesn't encourage said bias

Thankfully, Atalk does it less....hence I returned

 

The problem with this site is the number of anti-vBulletin trolls who jump in and post abuse and lies about you as soon as you say anything.

There are two in particular who are permitted to run riot with their outrageous remarks, and who will doubtless now turn up in this very thread and do much the same thing.

It got so bad that I simply gave up. TAZ doesn't tolerate such extreme trolling and whilst the site is far from perfect, it is a preferable place to post.

Also this site has gone from being reasonably active to practically dead since Bob took over. I don't mean that as a specific criticism of Bob but it's certainly very noticeable. Whatever people think of Brandon, he created a pretty decent admin site here and it seems to have vanished somehow.

There is only TAZ now. Monopolies in a niche are never a good thing.

 

I've got a bit fed up with the other place because of the snide remarks people make.
If you have limited knowledge there are three or four posters on there who will take the p***, also the moderation can be heavy handed at times, dishing out a public warning for "derailing" a thread, when you were just replying is just not the done thing.

Looking at the way things have gone, after it's cooled off, I can see there being more staff than members on there.

 

I preferred AdEx as I found TAZ to be less friendly more stuck up, and was quite disappointed that the merge has happened as I am sure that when Howard took over AdEx he stated there were no plans to merge the two as there was a different feel to the two sites. I found this site very recently by accident and it seams ok so far, it would be nice if there was a bit more activity on the forum and I miss the post rating, may be they could be added?

 

So why bate them?
