It's a new site so far (hence the rather low level of activity), but I thought I'd mention it online anyway. Here's the link:

    http://warioforums.com/

So what's it about? Well, to put it simply, it's about the Wario series. What's that? Well, I think this explains it better than I could:

    http://www.mariowiki.com/Wario_(series)

In other words, a quirky, somewhat unknown Nintendo series that needs a forum. But do you know what else is interesting here?

It's a series which at present is really suffering in terms of online fandoms. Basically, not one forum about the series has been set up in the last fifteen or so years. So what I plan to do is not only make this forum itself popular, but also somehow revive a fandom which has practically died out in the last decade and make it somewhat popular again.

It's not gonna be easy, it's not going to be quick and I doubt I'm getting anything like a big board out of the deal. But I think it's a worthy cause regardless, and I hope other people agree.

I like what you did with your Nintendo site and it looks like this one is off to a good start.

:), a suggestion if I may, I'd almost look into giving the background the same pattern but a dark grey/black.

Then moving the current yellow background pattern on the subheadings(category headings).

    Nice start though!

It looks pretty cool! However, must...tone...down...yellow! A little too bright for my tastes. Good work snatching that domain name, too

Yeah, it's a bit yellow, but hey, it's the official colours. I mean, talk about some bright box arts:

The makers of the series really, really like bright primary colours and stuff, so I got inspired by that.

As for the domain name, yeah, I did get a pretty good deal. Indeed, I've been getting a lot of good deals recently, I snapped up WarioForums.com, SuperSmashBros4.com, SuperSmashBrosForums.com and quite a few other such domains too, and all with a good old .com extension rather than a new fancy one.

Pity I couldn't get Wario.com. Then again, neither could Nintendo themselves.

Bright colors can be used to attract people, especially on video game covers, but it's not meant to stare at all day :D

    hi,

Although I'm not a Wario fan myself (bought 1 Wario game: Shake Dimension and other than the hand-drawn art I was very disappointed) , I like the idea. But as mentioned in the prvious posts, the background color is chasing the visitor away after a while.. too hard for the eyes and concentration.

    Keep up the good work!
