Take the password, encrypt with salt and then encrypt the contact details using a variant of the password. Make it double confusing for anyone looking for a peek.

I love me some lastpass. Use it everyday. My lastpass password is really long and complex and for all my sensitive systems (which are really secure) i use all different, tough, passwords. I use strongpasswordgenerator.com to create random tough passwords.

What a great deal, free! Well, how do we know who wrote that program? The NSA? Sorry but I don't think people should be so trusting these days.

I don't remember where I saw it, but it was a great tip. You don't really need cryptic passwords, which are hard to remember, to be "safe". You can also use something easier to remember like mini anecdotes or mnemonics or rhymes.

    For instance.

    MyfavoritesummervacationwasinNewYorkin1983

    or

    MydogSpotlivedtobe15yearsold

    or

    IbeforeEexceptafterC

    or

    SticksAndStonesMayBreakMyBones (notice added CamelCase capitalization:))

Those would be considered very hard passwords to crack, but yet they are also fairly easy to remember.;)

You should also still not use the same password all the time, so trying to remember what password you used and where is basically impossible (it is for me) and thus, negates a bit of the need to have memorable passwords.

    I also use KeePass.:)

I use Lastpass for my personal passwords. For things like cPanel, hosting and databases I use my memory. The only thing I trust with those passwords.
