Why can't I reply to my own threads on here?

    I've tried posting this:

On my thread -Anyone fancy making an official complaint about Internet Brands' false advertising of vBulletin?

    - and I can't.

I was not only banned from replying to a thread I started on TAZ, because I responded to Joe's derail suggesting he was working for free for vB, but also unable to view replies to that thread, hence I no longer post over there.

    Is the same happening here?

I don't ban people from threads.

Let me check the permissions. I've been standardizing the permissions for each group to make it easier to add new groups and I very well could have messed up a forum permission set.

This should be sorted out. It seems you got stuck in limbo while the scripts were upgrading your account.

You should be good now. Let me know if you have any problems.

Thanks AWS, but I still can't post in that thread.

ETA: But, clearly I can in this thread!

That is weird. There is nothing set to stop you from posting in it.

I checked your permissions again. I can see no reason why you can't post in that thread.

Are you getting any error message? What is happening when you try to reply?

    Everything looks good.

No, I am not getting any error message.

    Basically, nothing happened at all.

I type a reply, I click 'post reply', and absolutely nothing whatsoever happens, yet I can reply to other threads - very odd.

OK. Try clearing your browser cache to reload the editor js. I have seen this happen to users on another site and for whatever reason the editor would not work in certain threads. The only way they were able to fix it was to log out and clear the browser cache.

Spotted earlier there is a problem with an image attachment in another thread that says it cannot be found. Not sure which thread it was now.

I think it had to do with the attachment being quoted from a deleted post.

That is exactly what it was.

Do you have any ad blockers installed in your browser?

The thread title has the word "advertising" in it.

Thought the problem was him trying to quote a post that I pointed out had a broken image attachment in it.

That is the problem. I have adblock off for my sites. Just turned it on and I couldn't post to the thread either.

    Thanks Brogan.

Thanks Brogan, that does seem to be the problem.

Oh, and thanks to AWS for your efforts at resolving the issue.
