Can anyone blame them? With the latest round of incidents and the disappearance of the developers, I'd move on... Some people make a living out of creating resources for scripts like XF. It would be dangerous to keep doing so for XF knowing that the owners don't care as much as you'd hope they did. And even more dangerous defending them. You don't want to lose your own customers trust in you! Excuses like "I didn't know" will only work for part of your customers...especially when people are giving warning signs and KAM have pretty much disappeared from the XF scene! This would explain a lot, indeed. If true, it makes sense why some "in the know" didn't want to be the ones to spill the beans even though they've been hinting something was not right. If true, it would also makes sense why Brogan left since I wouldn't think he'd want to be a part of all that. However, I'm wondering why Jake, Lawrence, & Slavik would want to be the ones doing the dirty work as they have been. This will surely tarnish their names. Of coarse, they could say they didn't know....lol. Or maybe they just don't care. But, I'm sure many will lose respect for them over this. However, no matter what anyone thinks about MKA personally, they each hold responsibility. Maybe Mike a little less since he's likely pretty much out-voted (K & A being related). I vote for Mike to create addons for IPB
Frankly speaking why does anyone still want to hang around a rotting carcass when there are plenty of other forum software that can fit the bill AND be up to date as well? If they run their own site that sloppily I would stay away like the plague they appear to be.
I 100% agree, it's clearly time to move on and sit on the sidelines to watch that place implode. After the actions (and inaction) of moderators during the last 72 hours it's clear the place is done. If one of three people don't have a spare 8 seconds to respond to what many are calling an "outlandish" rumor, they obviously don't have the time to run a full blown business (Unless it's a photography business). Short of any real updates to the situation I doubt I'll be the one breaking the news. Luckily in the last 2 weeks we uncovered a lot of facts about the kind of people behind XenForo and clearly they aren't what they were made out to be, ever. One developer is out having affair(s) and destroying families. The other is operating another business while passively watching an established one with paying customers dissolve. This is 100% irresponsible of them, and if people want to support that, I guess that's their silly choice. Adios!
Proposed Order for Dismissal http://xenforo.com/community/threads/california-case-update.10037/page-210#post-421953 If they didn't sell out, then what the hell are they doing ignoring their business and valid concerns from the community? Even if all rumors are false, the fact that they have been ignoring their business and concerned customers has surely tarnished their reputation. Can anyone trust that they will be in it for the long haul? I'm not convinced, yet...
Well isn't it simple to understad they haven't made any deals yet with IB otherwise we wouldn't have seen this out of no where.
What those legal scholars dont realize is that you typically provide a proposed order with every written motion you make. Its nothing to make a big deal out of. What they also dont realize is that many of the motions that are filed in a court case are routine. For example, every criminal trial, the defense moves for a directed verdict at the end of the state's case in chief. That is a standard motion that is very rarely granted. I dont know what will happen with this motion to dismiss, but at a quick glance, it doesnt seem IB has abandoned anything. Dismissal for want of prosecution is generally when the plaintiff seems to dissappear from the case, which IB hasnt done from what I can tell. Most of the time, just answering the motion in person defeats the motion.
His presence alone is enough for the fanboys...lol. They talk about stalkers while they stalk Kier's every move on XF. LMAO! Quite entertaining...look, he's looking at this very topic right now...I hope he replies....hello Kier...your presence means everything is great and wonderful....LMAO! Alls I can say is, thanks for the entertainment. Gotta love forum admin drama...lol. Which sounds more sensible. Reading that thread you'd think they had it all figured out for the judge. Right down to the outcome and the reason why the developers had to abandon their own business for the last how many months. I find it funny how they have analyzed everything right down to what they want it to be. And don't anyone dare disagree over there. Lol. Even if they did have any sort of legal studies, they would not know for certain what the outcome would actually be. Only the judge can decide that.
Legal studies and trial experience are 2 different worlds, believe me. What the book says can seem clear cut, then you discover in trial that the book is but a starting point. I wonder how the fanbois will take it when they finally realize they've been taken for a long ride in the country and just dropped off.
