Jake was a kid that built his reputation at vbulletin with one word replies like, "ahhh, coooool, yeeeea" and other non-sensical stuff. Then he was promoted to staff. By far the most bewildering thing that John ever did. During his time as staff he was helpful and seemed to have matured a bit. Then one day Kier graced peoples presense and posted a line response to a thread. The Jake of old appeared as he pissed all over himself with his one word responses. You see Jake is numero uno Kier worshipper and bootlicker. It didn't surprise me one bit when he jumped to xenforo.

It's getting silly in that thread now. Slavik for one, he keep talking about ways around that Euro Law Ruling coming out with all sorts of stuff XenForo could do, such as changing the licence agreement. It's got nothing to do with him, he's only a volunteer mod when all said and done. He's kind of missing the point as well. They shouldn't be "looking for ways around it", instead honouring the new ruling. If as a company, your going to look for escape routes not suiting your customers, which it wouldn't. What does that say?

And I really didn't think Xenforo could look worse.

It looks worse each time those two clowns reply.

A simple and correct reply from the staff to AlexT's questions would have been "We are not lawyers, we do not handle the license agreement. If this law change affects us, I'm sure we'll be in compliance with it"

    What a bunch of goons.

But its all talk now, isnt it? If guy was serious about it, one mail to right organisation within EU is all it would take to spark investigation into XF's EULA and other to have another one sit on their system to see how they protect their customers personal data.

Wouldn't take seriously what the mod say, they are not owners of XenForo LTD. Take what they say with a pinch of salt, unless they can state it come directly from KAM.

I wouldn't either. It's apparent that Jake is merely trolling customers who have a reasonable expectation of privacy of their data and questions regarding license transfers and legal issues.

Don't get why Jake is dealing with licence transfers and support tickets anyway? Thought that was the job Ashley did. He doesn't develop anything like the other two, so thought his primary role was dealing with support issues.

Like Mark.B said in that thread on XF. I'm not fussed about Jake dealing with it, if KAM feel they can trust him with personal data. Mark was right in saying what he did about that one, just curious why Jake seems to be dealing with it now and is Ashley still doing so with him? Or, as he like the other two appear to have done. Decided to do nothing and leave the likes of Jake doing it instead.

Well, whatever y'all think of Jake, that's your business. I just know that at both vB and XF (even before he was a XF mod) he was extremely helpful to me and many many others.

I'm not sure but I can say as of Aug 26th, Ashley was still handling account support and billing questions from a first hand experience.

Jake will have been asked to give a lift then. I know a few people moaned about support tickets taking a long time to get answered before, that will be why he;s jumped on-board helping out since.

Um it was over a year after XF was released before Jake actually made the leap, because he had obligations at vB to fulfill. Altho I don't know when he actually purchased a license, and don't much care.

I seem to remember him posting at xenforo within the first week. I knew he would eventually wind up as staff there. Kier likes to keep his bootlickers close to him and Jake likes to blubber all over himself in threads that Kier post in.

The thread has been locked now, same old same old. Have their say first and then lock it, wonder when they'll delete it?

It getting pathetic seeing what they keep doing. They lock threads and later come back to them editing people posts removing things they've said, or just plain delete the whole thread.

Speaking for me only, I have nothing against Jake or Slavik. In fact I've said many time that I like Jake, and yes he is very helpful towards others. He's even helped me out in the past with a problem. It has nothing to do with what anyone thinks of another, it was about what's being said in that thread closed there. For that matter, I don't have anything against KAM. nor any other staff at XenForo. Why should I have, and it's just forum gossip?

You posted this on Admin Extra in that other XenForo thread, I'd like to comment on that after Brogan purposely dropped a hint Kier didn't attend Mikes wedding. Thought he was out of order with that one, the guy has recently split up and could have felt funny going to a wedding alone, no longer as a family - not when other families are going to be there. Plus like you say, she may have there and he couldn't cope with it. I really felt it was very unfair of Brogan to drop a hint like that with little thought given as why he may not have attended Mikes wedding.

Meh, it won't be long before another thread pops up and turns venomous like that one was starting to. The cycle won't stop there until the issues are solved.

It's been happening for many months already, nothing new and a lot has been deleted from viewing since. A thread gets started like you say, that turns venomous with people asking questions - they leave it for a while before locking (let people get it off their chest first) - then things go back to normal again. Been like that for ages and suspect will remain so until they get the court decision or fold.

Just been laughing at what Jake linked back to before, missed at first. Different type of forum characters. LOL!

Was reading this posted earlier by Mert.

    http://xenforo.com/c...-of-mods.36083/

Wish some "same old" customers would give it a rest with their very nauseating and sickly fan-ism, in trying their hardest to annoy other customers. Mert asked a valid question, but the replies coming from some having nothing to do with it are just unbelievable. Don't they realize they make themselves obvious when it's the same faces doing it each time.

Posting on, and making the jump to, are two different things. Just because someone posts doesn't mean they've jumped on the bandwagon. Like I said, he didn't make the move to XF until his contractural obligations with XF were met. As I recall, that was almost (if not more than) a year after XF opened.

Maybe I need to go read this thread again? Last time I did, I hadn't see anything to "lose respect" for Jake over.
Eh, I doubt it matters to him anyway.
