It was OK earlier in the day. Namecheap to blame again?

At least they did renew it.

fwiw, a common reason for an autorenew to "fail" is that the credit card had expired.

how many people are using cards right now with expiration dates less than 12 months in the future? LOTS.

but, I think reminder emails are still sent.

And you believe that? C'mon Gary don't be so gullible. Floris is ALWAYS telling people that either Kier or Mike or someone "important" told him something or another. You've never much trusted him before, but because it fits in with your theory, you're willing to now?

    pppfffttt... :lmao:

I must say, I don't hold much sway by what Floris says. He's a bigger drama queen than me, which is saying something.

Only a week or so back, he left XF in a huff. Can we really believe Mike would 'tell him' things in this way? Hardly I'd say.

Floris does have some history of drama, though I like him as a person.

I still cannot access Xenforo at all.

Waking up to a mess of posts to go through, all over the place.

Home internet worked with XF fine this morning, mobile connection still showing Namecheap page. Office connection works...

About this namecheap crap... their auto-renew works fine if it's configured correctly with a valid funding source. Three of domains under my control renewed automatically over the last few months, don't know why there would be any other 'issue' in that process unless it's a human error on XF's side.

    Need coffee...

Like I said in a previous post, my auto-renew has failed 3 times. And the funding source was indeed configured correctly.

Still having issues with the site. DNS should really be sorted by now, but it isn't

It's still not loading correctly for me.

As regards Floris's post, this is just one more example of people saying "I know more than you but I'm not telling. Mike/Kier/Ashley told me something in strict confidence that I cannot repeat".

Firstly, if you do know something, say so. Or if you can't, say nothing. It's pathetic otherwise.
Secondly, I don't believe for a MOMENT that Kier, or Mike, or Ashley, would casually mention something top secret to someone they happen to know on the forums, and then swear that person to secrecy. Especially not Floris! No way are they that stupid.

Don't buy into what Floris says anyway about talking to KAM, never have and think he just wants to be seen "as one of the boys still". I don't think any of them take him on anymore, not since leaving vBulletin. Although Mike may talk to him every blue moon in reply to his tweets. Not saying I believe what Floris said in twitter, just posting up - that's what he said.

Doesn't matter either way about the domain thing with XenForo, if the auto-renew worked or not e.t.c. What's I find more interesting is that they've only renewed it for 1 year only. I mean, it's not exactly expensive to stick 3 years on a domain. I had MRGTB.com registered for 10 years. In terms of running a business and only sticking 12 months on your registered domain, that's pretty lame and doesn't exactly send out a confident message your around for very long does it?

You would think that they'd reach out by other means to let their customers know what is going on.
    DNS issue? Maybe?
If namecheap let them down I'd be looking for a new registrar and informing customers.

Added: Logged in from using another ISP and appears to be working.

What tickled me, which nobody else has picked up on. How fast Ashley was to come out posting a reason why the domain was down. Yet, people have been screaming black and blue for months to mention something about XF 1.2 and they still can't. Funny, it didn't take them long to post an announcement about the domain being down though did it?

Seems they can do it - when they want too.

Another thing to, I don't get why they are allowing Slavik all of a sudden to post what he has been doing in that court case thread. He seems to have taken over it acting like he's some legal authority on everything all of a sudden knowing how to play IB legal team at their own game. He needs to be careful what he's saying and start reigning himself in a little bit from saying so much like that. He'll land himself in hot water with IB if he's not careful saying that as a staff member on XenForo now. He should known better and seems to be getting carried away with it all.

I still think they've been advised not to make comments. Only vague statements.
I would be surprised to see 1.2 out in the next few weeks.
What would not surprise me is if we didn't see anything until January.
    Just my opinion.

I'll be surprised to see XF 1.2 arrive this month. A lot of people are hanging on it doing so as well. I hope it does and it's something very good they've been working secretly on very hard with lots of new features included. Still think XenForo is the best and has the potential to take the market lead easy if development of it goes on further to include such features like a Calendar and others things to rival IPB and vBulletin stronger.

As a forum software package it's better than the other two for using, it's much more enjoyable posting using XenForo. But it still lacks that important feature punch the other two have over it.
