I would disable the archive all together
but if you do want to take the risk, there is a mod at org to do this or it's an option in vbseo.

third thing the adminaddict.net has also done that attached is the snap it is located in

and I don't control AA, but on all my sites and any sites I work on, I strongly suggest NOT enabling the archive, let alone the links.
Case in point, if you do a Google search for "admin addict" you'll see the sitelinks are the archives sitemap links
I would much rather have the actual threads/post indexed and prominent to the end user.
