Thinking of going back to VB

Well, had a VB license which I traded for IPB and started a new board on IPB. But now after using IPB for a month, I am seriously thinking if I should have go back to VB even though things doesn't look too good on VB side. The main reasons:

1. Lack of good skins
2. Lack of Mods at needed for me
3. Lack of Photopost and Reiewpost full integration

Do you think, it makes sense to go back to VB?

 

Vb has always been better then IPB. Sure they've got some issues and negative rep about vb4.. but you could always use 3.8.5.

 

Lack of good skins? Have you seen skinbox.net?

Sorry, I have to agree on the skins aspect. Not nearly as many good skins.

I did the same thing
tried ipb out for a few months, ended up selling that site and going back to vBulletin for many of the same reasons you listed.
Nothing beats vb.org

 

Its your old site vbsetup that taught me everything I know about vb 3.x today and you stating you had to go back, so much assuring for me....

 

Going to Vbull 3 would but i wouldn't change IPB for Vbull 4.

 

Yeah, if you were to switch I would go to the next stable release before vB4. Then once you they release a more stable and user friendly vB version you could think about upgrading. vBulletin has always been a great software, but vB4 have let them down abit.

 

well...i will personally not recommend you to go back to VB because swithing again and again will make it look very unprofessional.......and it ll also affect it's image infront of the people if u will switch again and again
