What Upsets Me Is

When you ask for help or guidance, people tell you to post your questions, so you do, even though you feel very foolish in doing so and don't get a response. Than you feel more foolish than if you would have not even done anything or mentioned anything at all. I suppose when people tell you to post your questions they really are not that sincere in helping. Hard to tell on the Internet what is real and what isn't anyways.

 

Bro everyone has to learn from experience from time to time and you can't expect everyone to take time out of their schedule to help you out directly. I don't even know what you're referring to in this instance, so to be frank, it's just wasting time. Maybe you need to learn how to ask for help and how to temper your expectations?

 

we're all busy, and we volunteer our time on the forums, don't take it as disrespect when a question doesn't get answered right away

You don't want to do that even if it was allowed. Don't let one less than perfect incident colour your view of the whole site. People have outside lives and much as we would all like immediate answers to our questions or even someone to just hold our hand while an issue is resolved, it won't always happen that way. It's the summer, people take vacations etc. just take a deep breath and relax. Someone with infinitely more knowledge that I will be along soon to help you out. If you leave now you will miss them. There's a lot of very genuine, very knowledgeable people here.

AA has been in quite a quiet, relatively inactive state lately, so I don't think anybody could/should expect prompt responses to their questions.

We have plans for AA, and hope to restore it to its previous pinnacle and beyond, but that's still some time away. But don't give up hope. The old fun, active days of AA will return. And if you were here in those days, you know that no thread went unanswered for more than an hour or so.

 

I was actually thinking of doing a forum for 'new forum users'. May have to revamp and start that up again.
