I never noticed this issue while using the default skin on vBulletin 4.0.2. But now that I have changed and updated my sites style with a more appeal look for my site, the shoutbox is all messy, I was under the impression that Inferno vB4Shout 2.5.2 would mimic my sites layout but I was so wrong with that, I've looked everywhere and can't see to find a fix for this.

What needs to change is the text links, time stamp and background to match my new sites layout.

So if anyone can lead me in the right direction or give me step by step I would very much appreciate it.

This community has been really helpful for me in the past and I just want to say thank you and god bless.

Try installing Firebug for Firefox and use it pick out each section you would like to change and once you know where each part of the chat is, add a class or change each class to how you would like them.

That didn't seem to work for me. Is there anything else I can do?

I have 2 themes, I am not trying to change the base one as the other theme would get messed up.

I heard of wrapping the <!--SHOUTBOX--> in a div style bgcolor, but when I tried that, the shoutbox didnt load.

    Any other suggestions?

have you tried talking to the coder/designer ? They might be able to help you. I'd ask the coder of the hack.

Well, that's the thing, I am a developer, but the new vBulletin is a jumble of a lot of different languages and it really cluttered. I did however fix my problem, by simple removing it and installing vBshout 5 lol. Thanks anyways guys. :)
