IPB 3.1 Are you tempted to try it?

Now that IPB have released IPB 3.1 in Beta, have you not been tempted to give it a try? Just been looking at the IPB Forum and it's looking quite good. Just a pity I got an email yesterday saying my license renewal was up, then the next day they only go and release IPB 3.1 which I would have downloaded and tested to see what I thought about it.

Anybody else testing it, if so what's your first opinion of it compared to vBulletin 3.8

I'm wondering what changes they have made to the SEO side of things mainly. I can't believe they released it the day after my license expired, no longer giving me access to test it. Oh Well!

Yeah I know, but while it's in Beta I don't see the point. By the time it goes GOLD my 6 months I'm betting would nearly be up again. And I just might miss the window once again just like now. That's the problem with the IPB 6 month renewal thing, it flies by.

Your better just waiting till it goes Gold, then renew.

I have a forum almost all set up on 3.0.5, its a shame to try to move up for a beta...

 

I would wait till gold was out to renew or try it.
I didn't really like how IPB did their updates, but maybe I'm just so use to vBulletin's update that nothing else can compare for me.

 

not really, i would miss many important MODs like the Arcade Enhanced, Artificial Intelligence Bot mostly

 

We are trying to use it!

Bit of a time issue at the moment, but am attempting to finally convert from vb3.8, at least on our test site.

 

It's amazingly good. Ditch that old vB, it's a relic now.
