Defragging is supposed to give you space, Right?

Its doing the complete opposite for me, Ive tried TuneUp and the Windows one and its taken a total of 15GB away..i did have 35GB left and now just 20GB..

    Why is it doing this?

One last question, are you using the windows defragger or a third party?

I've tried both Windows defragger and TuneUp, they both reduce space.

I find that vista and above for some reason are creating restore points when defragging

Clear out your old restore points (erases all your restore points except the last one)
Right click the drive -> Disk Cleanup -> More Options -> Delete Restore Points.
