I'm thinking of it. It appears you can really zoom in on your potential audience, and it also seems cost effective.

I'm just waiting to get a payout from Google to decide if I'm going to do it but I probably will.

It's very effective, you can narrow down your target audience to a T.

Hmm.. if you planning to do so, How much will you set your max bid? 0.01?

I'd probably go a little bit higher. Because I have such a narrow audiance I feel comfortable staying lower. If I had a broader audiance I'd probably go higher. Another thing you can do is block ads by member group. So I can block out members of my FB site that way they don't see it and think it's cool and click. I could basically target it to new people.

I think the targeting on FB is pretty awesome.

  6. I'm considering trying this out. Their recommended bid is quite expensive though.

.50 per click will cost $2500 and only give you 5K clicks. Now, if all of these just became active members then it would be very worth it.

1,5 years ago I used this Facebook-option for several days. The traffic in our forum was a bit higher, but no new registrations were gained. So this is an ambivalent deal for me with our non-commercial forum.
A good alternative in my viewpoint is the fan-page-option on facebook as a place to introduce the actual forum and to synchronize some contents.
