This is a general question for those who have moved things around in the header/navbar ... I'm wanting to relocate the navbartabs and navbar text links. I didn't really get into this before vb4. It appears that the header main <div > is closed </div > not in the header, but at the bottom of the navbar coding. Just wanted to confirm with anyone else who has looked into this. I'm thinking that combining the header code and the navbar code, that's the most complete way to view the code for the whole area above the forums.

(I also noticed that the information provided by Lynne that the navbartabs are partly using the plugin system.)

This might be an html question, really ... maybe this bump will attract good feedback. :)

Here's a link to the test site, if you see two navbars, upper right and default, it's still in the situation with the question. Basically the same code is in both places, but "Home" and "Blog" don't display in the upper right location, which is the customized location. Have checked thoroughly for unclosed tags in the upper right version, and seems to be all good on that. And yes, have tested without anything in the default navbar section. This is escaping me.

A lot of testing & plinking around has shown that moving ad_location_templates too far from their natural home produces some display anomalies. I'm not sure if that is what is up.

Thanks for any ideas on how to get the upper right version in shape. I'd rather re-tool the navbar to get that working than use the default, make it simpler for users ... am re-structuring the lower test-link dropdowns to capture what is lost with the navbar re-tooling.

Exactly how are you wanting to set up your navigation. What where and with who? From what I see in the nav template it uses plugins to add tabs and see what scripts are running to display the sub menus.
