Yeah, I'm trying to make sure I have a completely different forum avatar on every forum and site I join. Hence why I have a different avatar for here, vBulletin.com, my own site, .org, etc. I just find it so predictable when people use the same avatar and such for every site they go to.
You got something against being lazy? Course, some might say its a solid branding move too. At least you do know who is who with some confidence.
True, but my username is a pretty good branding move. I mean, it's near enough no one else using it, especially on page 1 in Google: Google
Predictable? What do you mean? What would be a disadvantage of using the same avatar, or do you just not like doing it?
Meh, I don't use the same avatar everywhere because I just find it boring. Besides, it currently means I get to try a different avatar and profile picture on every single forum I'm a member of, which means I get to mess around with lots of official game artwork and sprites.
I use the same avatar everywhere. then when i join a new site, someone who doesn't know me by name but has seen my avatar before is like "Oh yeah, he is not a n00b" and on one site, they bumped me outta the "can't post links until you have X posts" group...
i have different avatars and signatures on every forum i post on, i remember on one forum i was mod on, i changed it every day but run out of pictures! most of the time i make my own avatars, nothing special really, i dont think any of my graphics would ever be as good as some in here, but theyre ok. one of them i change at different times of the year, i will add on santa hats and stuff at christmas
I use the same one on almost every forum, except for my own. Alot of people know me by my avatar. I only recently changed mine here, because it's exactly how I feel!
mine changes too much to change it everywhere I go. I guess if I am active at a forum and I'm bored with the look of my avatar it'll get changed.
