I'm looking for a twitter in profile mod. If you look at my profile on this site you can see what I'm talking about. It's a MyBB Plugin (paid) developed by Labrocca, who you know as a great plugin developer for MyBB if you have EVER used MyBB. That plugin actually allows you to add yoru account in your user CP and it will add your recent (last 4 or 5) updates. It also provides an image link from post bit.

I'm just wondering if there is something similar for IPB. I literally just switched over 24 hours ago.

It sure is taking quite some time lol. I know Labrocca had that Twitter mod done in a few days. Can't wait for it then. I might have to dig around IPB a little and figure out how I could implement this.

I just posted in that thread to bump it back up. Maybe showing some interest in it will inspire the author to complete the project?

Yeah, it would be a great addition to mu forum which the sole purpose is to come and advertise.

It seems many vB admins were eager to embrace Twitter, whereas the majority of IPB admins don't care about it at all. I find it rather amazing, to be quite honest.

vB has always had a pretty reliable add-on to track SE bots, whereas IPB doesn't. Maybe the not-knowing has led people to not caring?

I would like to get my head wrapped around the user agent identification in IPB, to flesh the list out, but it is just one more entry on my list of things to do. You know, the list I never seem to be able to devote any time to reducing?

Yes Mike, I know that "list" all too well! My list consists of hundreds of things to do and as I reduce the list by one, it seems to grow by two every time :)

I used to have a text file that was my list....it got to big to keep up to date. And it seemed like I had more things being added than deleted :(
