Yes he is... o.o I guess it's Organic SEO what I've been practicing. I think it shows how much effort an admin could take when he/she is very passionate about their sites.
Are there any alternatives to organic SEO that aren't black-hat? I'm not familiar with the specific terminology, but if organic SEO is SEO by doing work (manually optimizing, building backlinks, etc.) then that's all I really "know". :shrug:
non 'blackhat-seo' is typically called 'whitehat-seo' and you're right Nick, it's about getting your hands dirty and manually optimizing your site and building backlinks. Something that can usually get the ball started with one weekend's worth of work.
there are 2 types of seo black hat and white hat everything else is just seo as far as building links, that's advertising, not seo seo is optimizing your pages for search engines I <3 seo :p
Organic seo is definitely the best. When people can just click away on search engines and head to your site. Its takes time to get there anyway.

Google has stated that on average it provides around 50% of the traffic to most websites so organic SEO is most definitely worthwhile, if not a must. Building backlinks comes under the rubric of SEM, or search engine marketing which is good for both improving your SERP and getting traffic from referring sites. To have a website with a decent ranking you really need to work on both aspects. The more effort you put in the better the results
Organic SEO is good but slow. Now Organic methods are getting less and less popular because more faster Black Hat Methods are being used in place of White Hat methods. It is your take. I take both 50% 50%
