    Hello,
I was working on some buttons to go along with my "Back to Black and White" user ranks, and happen to make a mistake... But it was a nice mistake, and I'm not sure what I did - but I'd like to do it again.

Take a look at the attachment, and can anyone tell me what I may have did?

Exactly what was the mistake? I can see a slight white gradient running along the center (horizontally). But it's so insignificant it's hardly noticeable.

If you notice - the gradiential text.

    Going from gray to black...

What you did there then was from the text layer (which you must have had highlighted in the layers palette) you applied a gradient overlay to it (the text).

That's what I did! For the others, I didn't add a text layer, I simply added the text.

    Walah. Thanks Shelley. :)

I'm ashamed that I'm so young and can't retrace my doings. Bah.

    Do you like the button?

It looks like the gradient was laid over both the background and text layer. If they were flattened down, then the gradient might have been applied to that. Looks good. Hope you can reproduce it brother.

I'm not to keep on the selection of font you opted for nor the size of the button, mainly the height of it, it's far to big in height. Other than that it's a clean pre-made shape though I think the font used throws everything off.
