^^^ Yeah, that is a very accurate depiction right now. It is a huge jump from using email as a team to using Wave and we can't seem to master it with the team I am working with.

    See About Google Wave

If you want an invite pm your email address. I do believe one must have a google.com address to join.

I offered some on twitter yesterday, I have about 15 invites left. If anyone wants one just holler.

FWIW Google doesn't send the invites right away sometimes it takes a couple days.

Wave is pretty awesome. It's meant for collaboration. More importanly, inline interaction. It is not linear, which is its prowess. Linear would be email (which would be to setup a collaboration, for example), forums, IMing.

One way to help this be understood is like true brainstorming, where you can take various things off on their own direction, such as replying directly on a particular sentence, inline.

Furthermore, all of it is saved and can be returned to at any time. It is very interactive with other media as well. Some things are still being worked out, which is why its on Invite only basis.

    Here is a good guide.

It basically lends itself off the Google Docs idea. I can't see this becoming something I would use given its current state. Maybe in the future it'll be something that's useful and robust.
