The Great One, Nexialys, has now returned to vbulletin.com. He, like myself, had been banned, so clearly there are some resolutions going on behind the scenes.

Or he got a 1 or 2 week ban?

Possibly...I hadn't thought of that.....although all the other bans seemed to be permanent.

I'll never figure out why the permanent bans. Even if the infraction system is not used a ban for a certain period of time can be chosen. Maybe they did not know that. LOL...

    (obviously kidding)

Because it's Ray Morgan. He never does anything halfway. Permament ban, all sites, immediately.

I've tried to stay out of the issues with your recent attitude towards vB, but seriously man, vBulletin deserves no praise whatsoever for any of the actions they've taken.

They are purely damage control... not because they suddenly realized that they needed to do the right thing.

I remain banned. vBulletin continues to refuse to communicate with me.

They have lied to press, their customers, the better business bureau (they responded finally today, with lies), and the only actions they've taken are to cover their ass.

Ray Morgan might not have asked you to go around cheerleading vBulletin, but that is exactly what's happening.

This is like being convicted of a crime you didn't commit, spending 30 years behind bars, and eventually DNA exonerates you and you get let out... and then go around the country talking about how great the justice system is because you eventually got out of jail, and how you aren't going to focus on it's flaws since they no longer concern you.

Obviously, this makes you look pretty spineless... and I don't mean that as an insult, I'm just telling you how it looks from the outside.

They aren't suddenly your friends because they undid actions which they never should have taken in the first place. Stop acting like it.

I got the same response from them with my BBB complaint today as well. I'd suggest following up, it might help, though who knows.

The BBB really doesn't have YOUR best interest in heart, they have their own. The only thing you can do is lodge a complaint, they're not going to do anything, or make IB do anything.

    2 questions.
    1. Are you in the USA?
    2. Did you know that every complaint to the BBB is permanent even though they have been 'explained away' and no action will be taken against the company? It looks a little weird when researching a company and several complaint have been made, all of them 'explained'.

I agree that vBulletin deserves no praise for unbanning nex. When he was banned permanently, he was told that it was for abusive behaviour or some crap like that. An obvious lie anyway.
So now that they've unbanned him, they've not done anything beyond of what should be expected. He should have never been banned in the first place.
He was banned for a thread in which he showed vBulletin's weaknesses when compared to Joomla.

I'm not praising them. Just pointing out that others besides myself may me trying to get things resolved.

Yup, he had a temp ban. Should have been permanent.......And my BBB complaint will probably be lied away as well, but none the less, IB will have a list of complaints on their record.

He only received a two week ban due to insulting other members. It really is as simple as that.

He insulted me, i politely told him my thoughts and reported my thoughts. 20 minutes after i received my infraction from zachery, i received a permanent ban. That guy (Nexialys) is a real jewel.

So, Wayne, why did I get a perma ban? Let's compare, shall we?

    1) I did not insult anyone personally.
    2) Others have posted exactly what I posted (that vB is lying to it's customers)
    3) I suggested a legal cause of action: Detrimental Reliance. To those who don't know.. Detrimental Reliance is an issue when you buy a product on the advice of the company saying that "You'll be better off paying now" or, "It'll always be a low renewal fee for support", and later find out that "Whoops! We lied!"

It's almost like I'm banned because I strongly disagreed with being lied to and screwed over. Oh, wait. It IS!

Nice customer service you got there. Pity you didn't read the internal memo where Steve says that you shouldn't be doing this..... Yeah, that internal memo that's leaked all over the internet. I read that. You should have listened to Steve.

That my friend is a very valid question and another example of how these 3 people at vbulletin.com are being unprofessional. I stated earlier and will so again, these guys don't want Mr. Brisco knowing that they are having problems with the new suite. So instead of telling/suggesting that they relook at the software choices, they are being thugs and bullies and banning customers whom object. Wish i could get paid to sit at home and build a pretend world for others to see.

I really don't know, seriously. Every returned complaint i have seen at this point, always shows that the customer was at fault, for everything. Vbulletin hasn't taken responsibility for anything at this point. I am a bad customer, i got what i paid for, i deserved to be banned, etc......Not one time have i seen Ray Morgan or any other staff, state that this has been handled wrong, not one time. So much of this could have been avoided with a little bit of kindness and understanding by staff of what we were stating as customers. I do hope though, that hundreds of people file complaints even if they aren't valid, to help force changes within vbulletin. We can't be heard by staff of the site, so maybe if they are hit in the pocket book, they will start listening.
