I'm sorry but that is just plain ignorant.

1 - It is illegal and has been "nulled" by thieves. Anyone installing this version on their servers deserves whatever might happen to their site by using malware (and that's exactly what it is).

2 - It's Alpha and very buggy and very much unlike what we have now in Beta and even what the final version will be.

3 - The testing team has a huge cross section of skinners and modders. We are the legitimate ones and are already preparing for this new version.

No, it's just a fact. I don't think anyone is gonna try and run a nulled Alpha as a forum anywhere. That would be completely idiotic.
    Not disputing that.
    I couldn't say as I havenĀ“t seen the Alpha.
Well that's good for those skinners. ;)

I'm happy to wait for the official "open" beta this month. With all the changes they are making now and all.
At first when I read this, I thought: Wow. But then I realized, it'd be useless, because it's an Alpha.

BT, I respect you as you have always come across as being a mature, level headed and reasonable person. I urge you not to get caught up in this "bring IB to it's knees" frenzy that is causing typically reasonable people to engage in things that will bring them no benefit in the end. It's one thing to be wronged by someone or one's, it's entirely another to act in kind back at them. One will never go wrong by taking the "high road" in every situation they can ;)

No worries there. I actually have no problem with IB. I just don't like how they've been acting recently. :)
And for the record: No I am not installing a half-baked nulled alpha. Lol

I agree with a high road and have no desire to take a low road. Every piece of software on my site, is paid for, in cash. I have no desire to download and use nulled software. What i do however is find it funny that it has already happened and that servers in china are hosting it. People don't have to look for hacked anything as long as prices are reasonable and customers are treated decently.
Again, my sense of humor may have come across tacky and i do apologize for that. I am not endorsing nulling nor do i suggest that people use nulled software. I am still a bit upset and the things i see funny right now, will probably pass. If vbulletin has to spend time shutting down nulled software sites, it cost money to do that, and the cost of the software would go up more then it has now. So again, sorry.

If you play by the rules, you're definitely screwed if you're a banned customer. There is one specific site (again, I'm not going to say the name or post a link) that will pretty much have what .org has on an updated basis, though.

So being lied to and frauded has no justification? Your business rely's on the success of 4.0, doesn't it? You are also one of the fortunate persons to get a jump start on skinning for the new version. However, one thing you forgot to think about is... Alot of people are not going to upgrade to 4.0 because of the license fiasco.. more so, the gun to your head to upgrade policy.

For many of us with custom skins and mods, going to 4.0 is going to kill our wallets... and in this economy, i dont see many people willing to do it this early in their 4 series release. They have not proven how good 4.0 really is.
