I have a vBulletin license spare

Since selling my nintendo forum, I now have a spare vBulletin license (already paid for upgrade to suite as well)

If anyone has any good idea's on starting a forum but doesn't have the funds I propse the following

1. Use of my vBulletin license.
2. I will provide domain name and hosting
3. We can split profits 50/50. (I charge nothing for hosting)
4. You get full admin rights on forums to edit/change/whatever you want, just don't be one of those people who like to install 48923 useless mods.
5. I'll take care of all maintence and security.

Too bad I have like 50 things going on right now (and am already working on three other (possibly four) forums that I'm setting up. If not, I would've taken you up on the offer.

 

Actually have been thinking of proposing something similar. I think it would be a fun experience to pick a topic and take a group of experiences vBulletin admins and see if you could turn it into a winner.

I don't think I'd be interested in a contest against another group of people because you could quickly veer off course trying to one up each other. Additionally, there could be issues with the varying topics as one team could get dealt a much harder topic to promote, etc.

I do, however, think the underlying thought could be very successful. I think a lot of forums fail because there is typically one chief and if he goes MIA, the forum can quickly go MIA with him. By having more chiefs with experience, you could really do some damage.

I'll probably be starting a new design forum soon, but powered by my favorite MyBB.
