Just wondering, what are your rates for graphic or code work?

I usually charge by the job vs. hourly rates.
It all depends on what the client specifically wants, the difficulty level, and time available.

Depends on the job: level of difficulty, specifications of graphic design, client consult time... There are really no set rates except for some vB freelance and script installs. I will get an assessment of the job during our first consultation and quote accordingly. Rates will generally fluxuate depending on the job as well - could be an average of $20 - $45+ an hour - just depends...

I'm a great believer of the barter system. Less hassle and taxes that way.

I like the barter system as well. A spiffy new logo in exchange for a crisp $100 LOL

    LOL .
I don't have much work this week thus far - finished a couple projects early - so who knows... But the only thing about that is that I like to get paid for my work - a contest isn't always guarenteed c-notes - though I've won more than a few tehehehe

If I had time, I would do it. I've done business with him before on other projects.

Oh duh! I was thinking that you WERE dude LOL - I was silently thinking to myself, "Why on earth is he running a contest for a logo and he designs such nice stuff?!?!?" --- My thought process is just non-existent sometimes :P

Anyway - yeah - I might try an attempt at his logo - not sure yet... Actually wasn't busy with anyone elses projects this evening - but found I had a lot to do with my OWN projects - a little bit of silliness I tell you!

Hah, I know what you mean.

I haven't taken any new stuff on because I've been busy with my real-life job. :P So I thought to myself "Well, I have a lot of stuff laying around..." so I ended up starting to finish what I have uncompleted, and put them up on Envato.

I'm trying to find an online billing system that I spotted a few weeks ago. They have different packages. It would be useful for me instead of emailing or faxing.
