Well - and I cannot believe I am saying this in direct relation to IB - it makes perfect business sense.

Well surprise, surprise! I wonder what Wayne Luke will have to say about this one, or will he play numb saying: "I didn't know about this".

I predicted this would happen, I knew all along this was just another IB stunt to get people to spend their money. What a bunch of tossers Internet Brands are, and so predicable too.

    Probably, play dumb.

I predicted this in one of my earlier posts here about a week back maybe a week and a half that vbulletin solutions would hold an extention. PLay a short extenstion period and you get people complaining and ranting at the roof tops and when an extentsion is applied near the end of the first pre-sales people hail this as a gesture of good will and all is forgiven.

My name is shelley, I have my brains in my arse and i fall for this and hail vbulletin solutions as the greatest company for my forum incentives. LOL

Seriously, Are we really passed off as being this dumb?

    There is only two things you can take from this;
    1. They are responding to comments regarding the initial two week window as being unreasonable or,
    2. Sales have been poor

Given their drop on the markets today, the tone of the press release" record sales", I have to say that with the lack of any figures that can be ratified at a later date, I suspect No 2 just might be more accurate. There is one thing that is certain, if Morgan & Co is lying about sales and hopes to revive this position by extending the pre-sale offer and is later found out, investors will pull the plug.

Of course it was always planned.

To be honest, it's just a standard business practice that's used an awful lot. And the reason it's used a lot is because it works, it brings more cash in. Whether you think that's morally right or not is a matter for some debate, but Internet Brands is a business, I cannot blame them for using this tactic.

It's insulting Mark, you know what makes it worse. They have done it with a product you can't even use (until when)?

Of course it was always planned you say?

Now you think what you just said there and ask yourself if this was planned then why did they allow such a fiasco happen on the forums and ban members from access .com and .org when they could have announced the extension and actually communicated.

Where you one of those that got their privelages revoked mark? What was the outcome again because not 2 days ago you where actually being constructive but now your clearly found a new confidence in the softweare and actions you slated.

    Kettle, black.

Pre-sales offer extended, but vbforums still to post the news, seems they want the market to know that everything is just peachy.

Yes, I had my access revoked to vb.org and the vb.com forums. They shouldn't have blocked me from vb.org but that was sorted, and now I have decided to only be constructive about the company - and that's what I'm doing.

    No harm in that.

How about the "expired license" deal? Is that extended?

No matter any of us post either pro or con someone else will disagree. This has gone beyond being constructive in any manner at this point.

It's a parrot is either dead or stunned.

And we are all pining for the fjords...

Yeah, seeing as communicating with their customers is something that IB has excelled at since taking over.
