    Well, PageRank doesn't mean anything. It is just a numerical weightage assigned to your page. You shouldn't worry about.

    Keep building topical, relevant and authority backlinks at a consistent pace; mix it up with backlinks from different sources and you'll do just fine. If the keyword(s) you're targeting are tough/medium-tough, you may need to accelerate your backlinking a bit.
