Improving my seo and pagerank/

can you give me some tips

just seen aa has pr3 already how?

and only around 4% of my traffic is via seo how can i change that?

 

I wouldnt worry so much about your page rank, to increase your pagerank I suggest installing the no follow on all external links mod from vbulletin.org, that will help stop posted links giving votes from your sites to others and retaining your own PR. The main thing I see page rank as is something extra that people will pay extra for when it comes to buying advertisements on a site. Your on page seo and link building is far more important than worrying about PR.

I suggest using better anchor text in your signature here to begin with, linking in with Manly Stuff Dot Com is certainly not going to help you so much, maybe change that to mens forums or something similar, maybe porn forum? You need to choose what will be driving you the most traffic and stick with a few similar and traffic driving terms.

Try removing as much irrelevant text from your index page, that may help you and throw in your keywords within your descriptions as well as your board title.

Thats not everything you need to do but of course it is a start

Moved to SEO forum.

Just know that we haven't even tried to increase our PR or anything. The only thing we've done is install vBSEO and make a few tweaks.
We left the rest to:

• Content
• Natural backlinks (members posting our link on other sites to share interesting articles, for example)
• Activity
• Sitemaps

And it apparently has worked.

It seems to be that you get the best results when you don't try.

My Linnie Forum is also a PR 3, and it doesn't even have vBSEO.

ever since ive changed my sig, and changed a few forum names etc the amount of views on my site has gone mad! all direct? i dont get it are they bots? Manly Stuff - By Men, for Men! - got like 150 guests viewing the babes forum as i type this...hmmmm good or bad?

 

I doubt its the result of changing your signature here only at AA but wherever its coming from if its human traffic, you have something good, congrats! If its aided you in the search engines and pushed some of your content up high in Google great work!

If that is searched more than eye candy then yeah that is a possibility. Any increase in traffic unless its paid traffic/bots is good.

Yes, that's a good place to start.

 

It's necessary to choose a good keyword research tool - i use semrush for example. Have you ever tried it?
