No, it was discussed outside of AdminAddict between me, Fullmetalbabe and Chani.

 

Be that as it may, this is a community-oriented project. The decisions discussed and made are ultimately in the hands of the members of this community (unless Chani has any objection to this).

And no, nothing is/was/has been set in stone about team leaders, captains, what have you.

 

That's exactly what I want to see.

I'm finding that I need to hold people back a little when it comes to discussing policy in private BECAUSE I want this to be a fully community developed project.

I may have come up with this idea and I may be donating a vB license, but I don't consider myself to be the "leader" here. It's in everyone's hands.

What if everybody decides to join Team vB and there's nobody left for Team IPB? Perhaps all of it should be totally random, if it doesn't work out by way of preference...

 

The problem I see with that is that if you really wanted to work on vB but you're stuck with IPB (just an example...), then I think you'll have just that much less interest in this project.

We've got some indication that there are actually quite a few people that want to be on the IPB-side of things.

As soon as I get the chance I'll post a thread in the AdminAddict Contact forum to discuss this with the admins, and then what I think we should do is determine the end-game for this, along with all the rules, in public.

Then we can separate into individual groups and talk among ourselves in Social Groups.

How does that sound to you, Nick?

And also, teams don't necessarily need to be the same size...

 

Yeah, a few good people with one software may be better than trying to even things out, and getting some members that hold the team down.

I think, at this point, that there's enough of us to warrant a good-sized IPB team starting off.

 

Okay guys and girls, what do you think of this:

What are your thoughts about waiting for vB4 to be released so that we can purchase the suite? Then we would also purchase the IPB suite to go along with it on the other side?

It's either that, or we start sooner with BOTH boards being the basic software with it being each team's responsibility to purchase any paid mods, skins, advertising, etc.?

There is no set date on vB4 will come out, so if it comes out in december, we'll have to wait till december, if it comes out next year, then....
