    :hello:

A while back, we sought after the use of GARS somewhere on AA. Wayne made the great suggestion of implementing a Hosting Reviews section for members to review hosting companies.

We intend to add such a section with the purchase of GARS, but we're looking for any other uses you can think of for it. Share your thoughts and ideas, and we'll see what we can come up with to make AA that much better! :)

Seems like it would be a great addition.

For both community reviews, host reviews, etc.

Umm... Reviews - The vB Geek very cool, I would use it on my anime forum for anime and manga reviews.

    Google is very decieving, btw.

Any particular reason you chose ReviewPost over GARS? I'm curious now... :)

From what I've sen of GARS, it would be best put to use as a Link directory.. The 'Reviews' section could benefit from it too.

Nick, I just decided that I liked the layout and overall feel of the ReviewPost script as opposed to GARS. Maybe it's because the examples that I saw of the GARS script being used did not impress me and ReviewPost looked a little more 'professional' to me.

I've done some modifications to it (still not completely done), but very little really.

You want to add a gar fishing section to the forum??

Just because you know what an acronym means, does not mean everyone else does.

I think he meant gar fishing - Garfish - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you take that gar meat, roll it into balls, roll it in some flour or corn meal and then fry - you talk about good.

The problem with skinning a gar, you almost need a chainsaw to skin is so tough.

If you use a spotlight at light while bow fishing, they are easy to spot. You just have to be careful that you dont fall out of the boat while standing up.

Its ok Nick, I'am with you on this gar fishing. They are all over the place here in east texas.

When someone uses an acronym without defining it, that leaves it open to individual interpretation.

Proper grammar requires that an acronym be defined before its used. And since the acronym was NOT defined, it means whatever I want it to.

And this thread is about gar fishing.

GARS is sold AS GARS, and it is a pretty common add-on to vBulletin.

It's like vBa CMPS. Most people do NOT define what that means when they talk about it. Most people know what it is.

The same with GARS. Even if you don't know what each letter stands for, most people that have much experience with vB know what it is and what it is meant to do.

Just like vB itself, vBSEO, and all the other forum acronyms - phpBB, MyBB, SMF, etc...
Nobody defines them anymore. Most of the time, that is.
