You say you hate SMF? Because you can't care to search a little for a theme that suits you? Ok so SMF sucks which is the same to me. You are blaming SMF, not the authors of the themes you saw.

I try not to downplay others work, guess i'm not cocky enough to do that but I agree that SMF in general is missing good designs overall. There are some good ones, but they are few and far between.
