Never Mind. I commented on what the Abomination posted, but then he edited it (and maybe that's a good thing ). Looking straight up our driveway: View attachment 580 VERY modest. But it's better than our old apartment!!!
The image host I chose to use is no longer in business, and the aerial images I posted earlier on in this thread have disappeared. Shame on VuloMedia. :nono:
We had a hell of a time searching for the land, let me tell you. The process was tiring (worth it of course) and it took us a few years to choose the perfect locations.
Living in California, I can't afford a house so my family and I live in a 16 room mansion made out of discarded refrigerator boxes. Luckily it hasn't really rained here in about 9 months now or we would have to rebuild.
Your house is larger than mine. A house in my area with an acre of land would be about $300K. Though my wife and I have gone against American Societal Norms and our house is only 1400 square feet with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. Only thing I would change though is getting a 4 bedroom house but since my eldest is going to be 18 soon, not too worried about it. Though my children are with their mother a majority of time, so it is just three of us here most of the time. However, we our expenses are beneath our means. My wife could quit her job if she wants but she loves the animals at the shelter too much. We don't carry a lot of credit. We have about $1000 in credit card debt, the house and a new car. Though I will say that when it is closer to retirement and the kids have started their own careers, that I hope of buy between 50 and 90 acres in Northern California or Oregon and build a house.
I bet you did. I've never been to your state, but I've seen photos of houses and they look amazing. You live by the beach too, right, Chris?
We're not exactly located right by the beach, but we're no more than 30 minutes away. Not much of a "beach guy" myself; more fresh water oriented.
This is my "home" away from home. This is the exterior as you drive up of the Wilderness Lodge at the Walt Disney World resort!
I'll post a pic of my house sometime this week And some of the town.....i'll post some pics from my profile. Snowmachine crossing and stuff. Hunting....
