100x100 avatars seems to be pretty standard these days, judging from sites like Iconater. Some prefer tiny avatars, however, and some like to make a splash with 150x150 or "widescreen" rectangular avatars. What's your preference?

60X60 or 80X80 - 100 is too big for my taste.

80 x 80 though I wouldn't have a problem in extending that to 100px x 100px. Anything larger than that is too big.

144X168 is the biggest allowed. It gives nice detail and it looks alot better then the smaller avatars but it isn't too big itself.

Right now my biggest allowed is 150x200.

But today I came across a forum and soon as I got there saw an avatar sized, 500px × 500px  I think that's the maximum allowed, phew!

That avatar is even larger than the post; I'm surprised the forum owner is ok with it.

100x100 tiny avatars. Wide avatars knock the alignment of the page out of whack.

Big, Bold and Colorful avatars allow people to truly create an online identity that they can take from site to site. I offer 128 X 128 avatars.

FMB, so on that site you know, why does the forum owner leave it that why? Aren't they bothered by some people avatars throwing the page out of whack?

=| Hispanics are show offs and they don't mind being exposed, so no, they don't mind. But only a handful of the decent people there DO mind.
