The proverbs about old toots on new horns have been proven wrong. Bing is getting very much notice, and for no reason. It is good to get listed, though; Bing is getting very much notice, so the fact that it's simply a rebranded Live Search doesn't matter.

While I'm not getting much traffic from Bing as compared to Google the quality is better.

With enough advertising dollars, you can buy anything, including popularity. Microsoft has been buying prime time television ads to promote their new search engine. I have been seeing the ads for at least 2 weeks and can think of at least 3 different ads I have seen so far.

Actually I used Live Search before the transition to Bing. Bing offers a lot more features than Live Search did by default. Google would like you to believe it doesn't offer anything new but they would be wrong.

Google has rested on its laurels and search contracts for so long that they have grown complacent and are spending money on other technology outside of search. That is why their search results are becoming less and less relevant these days. Especially when the number one link for every page is a Wikipedia entry. If I wanted to search Wikipedia, I'd visit their site (which is powered by Google anyway).

I couldn't agree more Wayne, but we'll never see the end of Wikipedia on the first links of the SERP's or a massive out cry would occur, possibly the implosion of the internet.

Well, I am still not impressed with Bing and even more so now.

A couple of weeks ago I opened an articles section for my website. Its using wordpress and is in a folder under the forum.

So far google has indexed 53 pages of the new section. And bing? It has indexed a whopping 0 pages of the new section. And we all know how search engine friendly wordpress is.

And bing is somehow supposed to be able to compete against google? And their going to compete by not indexing pages? Wow, I'am impressed, not.

I havent checked Bing for our indexed pages but we are ranking #1 in Bing for our main keywords. Are your rankings with them good for your keywords?

On my main forum, the one I am referring to - yes, my site ranks well. In bing, my forum holds #1 and #4 out of 29,600,000 results for its targeted keywords, which is survival forum.
