I am not great at Graphics so sorry can not help you with this - just wanted to comment that your forums look great but in my mind your actual portal/site could do with some work.

thank you for the compliments. as for the portal you saw it on the day we were having a celebrity interview. it looks a bit strange on those days cause we have to enlarge the chat room so people can find it because some are lost sheep. so on the day you saw it i am guessing the chat room was extra large and on top of the site and sort of funky.. we do that for when we have our celebrity interviews we just had one with Deb Kauble who is a alien abductee who back in the 80's actually had a tv movie made about her tell and the government harassed her. Very famous in the UFO community. But the site is fixed back to it's true way now so I doubt in this phase it needs work at all. Take care.
