Your using standard captcha, spam bots are gonna love you to death - literally.

Get some kind of question and answer, image verification or recaptcha setup through the vbulletin human verification options in the control panel.

    ==== EDIT ===

    You have too many subforums.

First Impression: For a gamers forum, I find it kind of boring.

    Forum Content

Quantity of Forums: Ahh, Tis' ok. Not too much.

Content:I see that a lot of the threads posted has been by the feeds. While it does populate the forum somewhat, it would be nice to add some content your self. To be a gamer forum there is not much gaming talk, on top of that, the quality of the posts isn't that high, makes the reader bored, try to post things that will catch the visitors attention. For god sakes, it's a game forum! There are a lot of games out there, try making some reviews, talking about the old games consoles, snes, atari, talk about PC gaming and it's ancientness!
    Forum Design

    Favicon: I like it!

On, Off icons: Default...boring. You have a lot of the default skin/software icons, it's very boring and unappealing.

Design: ;P Here we go~ Design wise, you forum is bleh. Your skins available are just boring. There are a lot of gaming sites out there with better design and more content, you have to make yours look like the irresistible candy, and right now it doesn't look appealing. The looks bored me a bit I do like the logo a bit, besides that, the site is not very appealing.

Overall Opinion: The forum seems not really oriented on what it's supposed to be, gaming. Not a lot of discussions about it. The design is boring, there are a LOT more gaming forums in this niche, try to make yours visually appealing as well as adding more content.

    Good luck!

True. But I do not have a designer to make us custom graphics.

What should I do? I was thinking of possibly buying a premium skin if I get enough money from subscriptions.

    Thanks for the review.

Hire a designer? you have a section in a lot of webmaster forums to request custom graphics for free or at a price, use it?[For status icons]

For the design overall, yes buy a premium skin or custom one.

For now I'll keep the default graphics, but I'm going to look into a custom/premium skin.

As FMB stated, there are many sites that have designers that are willing to help out. AA is no exception; we're still fairly small, but we do have an outstanding group of designers here, and I don't doubt you can have a set made. (Check out our Graphics Requests section if you are interested)

Although little things like status icons may seem trivial, they truly make a big difference.
