I know why it looks like that, since it looks fine in a HUGE computer, but once I minimize my browser it distorts. It was made for big computers.
My display is currently 1400x1050 pixels resolution and Firefox is the default width; I don't think that's terribly small?
Odd, Michelle. I'm currently browsing on a 13.3" widescreen (1280 x 800) and it looks perfectly fine.
It almost looks like the page didn't finish loading for you and "settle into" its styling. Is it still doing this for you? I'm also on 1400 width edit: when I shrink my window it does the same thing as yours, disregard my previous message
The point is that it looks bad, and I resize because I sometimes open 3-4 browsers at the same time, at that, not everyone has the same size of monitors, basically if you have some one with a 1024x768 monitor, your site will look totally displaced.
There are too many subforums. That makes it confusing for new members. uhhh, three was some spots about forums and content management systems when I registered, buyt I see nowhere to post on those topics.,, I'am sorry, but your forum layout is really confusing.
If I were you, I'd move the "Feedback, Testing, Announcements Area" forum to its own individual category - at the moment, it looks as if it were simply "thrown in the mix". I also recommend placing such a category at the very top of the index page.
It offers stuff for forums, but none for software that I use. Banlist makes me not want to join the site. Ever.
As if it needed any validation, I'm using a 1024x768 display, and it does look funked up. I did take the time, though, to dive into your outputted code using FireBug for Firefox (gotta love plugins, take that, IE!). Your issue is the left column. The main logo image and the orange bar image on the left sides are too wide. When scaling each image down to roughly 450px wide in FireBug, the problem was solved. So in short, cut down the image sizes, at the very least.
