Many of us set goals for our forums. Whether they be long term, short term, or medium term.

In this thread, I would like to read how many posts you strive fro in a month.

Personally, I don't want to settle for less. However, I do like to make sure more than 100 posts are made within a month.

Not sure what you are referring to. Me, myself, or the entirety of my forum? I would think Elliquiy was dying if it dropped below 60k/month, and 80k/month seems to be the current standard.

Blue Moon I'm hoping will get over 40k/month and stay there, but 30k/month is more typical.

PrP is decently over the 3k/month barrier to present an active forum, however.

Sorry if I was unclear - I do mean the forum in its entirety.

Post that I make per month? On my main forum I am about 20 post a month or so. On my sons gaming forum, maybe a few dozen, maybe close to 75 or so.

I have been working on posting articles on my blog, then posting that same article - changed up a little bit - on my forum. Then I link the blog post to my forum where people can goto comment on the article.

So I am working on certain type of quality content, rather then a certain amount of post.

I think I make about 20 or so in a day, but I try not to post too much - I don't want it to seem like I am the only user posting although I am not- just tend to reply to every single thread.

Well, in that case, I usually consider a forum a failure if it does not break 100 posts/day. There are other benchmarks, I suppose, but basically there should never, ever be an hour or more before something new pops up that someone might be interested in.

There's a sweet spot around 10k-20k posts / month, too, that people seem to like as a small, but vibrant and close community, typically supported by the ~60 or so most active members.

Hmm, lately it's been getting probably three or four thousand a month. I haven't checked, exactly.

That's pretty good, Vek! Same for you, Michelle.

I think Setsou makes about 100 posts in a month as does Bird is the Word. I won't complain, though.

If your talking the entire forum, I like to see over 2,000 post a day. Which is where I'am at right now.

Last week I had one day where my main forum got over 3,000 post in one day.

But I am happy with 2,000 post or more every day. For the whole month, I like to see between 50,000 - 60,000 every 30 days.

Now I know there is a large variety of forums on AA.

Many of our posts take a long time to make, some of them take 8 hours, some have taken 40 hours with all the research behind the information.

We do about 100 to 200 posts / day at the moment, that will increase. We have 1300 members? 700 active members?

I don't care how many posts are made. I do care that that the posts that are made are quality posts. I am not running a general use site and even though I only have just over 100 users, less than 300 threads and 2200 posts, I am getting advertisers contacting me by mail asking for my rate card.

I too strive for quality over quantity. The number of posts per day is not as important to me as to seeing the registrations climb in a steady pace.

June was our first full month of being "open" and in that time, 17,896 posts were made... so hopefully we will maintain at least 17,000 posts per month from this point forward. :)

I've never really thought of the post count being a measure of how well my site is doing. It's the torrents that keep the site going and I guess we strive for an average of about 10 a day. As long as that stays steady, then I figure we are doing fine.

I think we do between 20K and 30K a month. It can sometimes vary, depending on circumstances.

Well I usually stride for a 1,00 a day. So I would say 30,000 a month at least. (My forum is still sort of new)

    100 per day = 3,000 per month, not 30,000.

1,000 per day would equal 30,000 per month.

Or did you forget a 0 on that 1,00?

I would say about 200-300 posts a month if not more but it also depends on if you a re a mod an admin or just a regular person on the forumk so at least 400 a month for mods a mods admins
