Do You Have A "Cheap Posts" Forum?

I once frequented a forum that had a section dedicated just to stupid and senseless threads. You still had to follow the overall forum guidelines (no flaming, no swearing, etc) but there were much less restrictions regarding the actual posts (one-word posts, having a conversation using a new thread for each reply, etc). The cool thing was, none of the threads in this section counted towards your post count. This was a very large and active site that has multiple serious sections, but was still community-like.

I know it depends highly on the subject of your site, but do you have an area of your forums like that?

It does depend on the subject on your site, but no, I have never done this. I did, however, have a forum solely for forum posting games. But that was all you could do.

No, I have never had a section, but I've seen forums that have. As others stated, it is purely dependent on the forum's niche.

    Moved to Community Organization.

I've seen this done, but have personally never done so - I refer to them as "SPAM" sections.

I have one on my parent forum, and it can be a bit of an annoyance, but it DOES generate activity. Since my site is a Sci-Fi/General forum, it fits in nice, as we don't truly focus on a niche.

I don't currently have such a forum, but I've been thinking of implementing one for the forum games and such.

We have a forum for forum games on Pisoga and basically spam section. It's pretty neat.

It's an excellent resource, because it gives you a place to have those fun, mindless forum games, and somewhat uncontrolled spam. If you give someone a place to do this stuff, so they've got no excuse (except if they're fairly new) to post it anyplace else.

I do have a forum games section, but not a "junk" or "spam" forum for members to post crazy stuff.

I've considered adding a "Testing Forum" because my members really take time to learn the ins and outs of vBulletin, but I haven't done it yet.
