I'm currently laying the groundwork for a new forum I'm launching with the help of a friend. We've got the forum installed, style mostly complete and now we're installing the most popular mods and doing minor adjustments to prep for a public launch. I have an expired license for vBSEO 3.2.0 but I can't update it to use on a new forum unless I pay the $35 renewal fee. Now I'm wondering is vBSEO 3.3.0 worth the ~$150. I'm basically trying to avoid paying a $35 renewal only to realize I really wanted 3.3.0 and end up pay a total of $185. Are the features of vBSEO 3.3.0 noticeably better than 3.2.0 and is the cost of the upgrade worth the cash in the long run?
Is that the case? It sure isn't clear from inside the Member's Area. When it says you must upgrade, it links to the purchase page with its $150-ness.
Hmm, I hope that set up isn't deliberately misleading. I'm pretty sure if you just click on Renew, pay the $35, you'll have access to the new version.
Yes, that should be correct. I just renewed my license a couple of days ago - it was expired since well before 3.3.0 was released. I don't want to make you spend money and be wrong, though.
Looks like somebody's playing with FireShot. :unhunh: Thread moved to "vBulletin" with prefix, "Add-On".
Yep! Better than opening a paint program How do you make a rectangle to cover things up without the pointer?
Thanks for the responses. I renewed the license this morning and received access to 3.3.0, they should have just said "You must renew" so that it isn't quite so confusing. Thanks again
If you'll permit me to voice a suspicion about an otherwise well-respected company, I doubt that was an accident. But I'm glad you didn't have to pay the $150.
I mean it's not really hard to click the link and then click renew at $35. It wasn't really misleading or confusing when I had to do it not to long ago :idk:
Yeah, I just checked it out... all I did was click the renew button and it took me right to the payment page where it clearly said the fee was $35. Nothing misleading at all.
