Yeah, yeah... I know you had to throw that in there at least one time. :D

It's true - and when these administrators publicly announce to the community that they have indeed been giving themselves [undeserved] reputation, the feedback received is quite negative.

No kidding, why wouldn't they? Even though for some admins this seems stupid and nothing to be bugged with, other people just like, gets mad since for some rep means how much you've worked on the site according to others, some people don't even bother to rep. xD SO yeah~

u_u You're cool Chris, now don't put your rep to infinite.

I imagine now [Infinite, too cool to be listed]

it is completely childish, and a stupid thing to do!

i was on one forum (before one admin banned everyone and deleted everything), where the admins were fighting, and one admin gave herself and her friends a rediculous amount of rep and would contstantly drop the other admins down to 0, and removing it from people who dont agree with her.

I've never seen it done, so I can't particularly say everyone who does so is a bad person, but I'd never do so myself because I pretty much get most of the rep on my own site anyway, maybe sometimes for merely being staff.

Personally, I removed rep due to the fights it caused. If it means that much to you, then I don't feel you are the type of person I am looking for to post on my board.

Agreed 100%.......rep points are just a source of trouble and since you will have far more readers/lurkers than members then points/bars are not indicative of what your public thinks only what some of your members think

I do not even use the reputation set up,thereby avoiding the problem in the first place.
