Frankly I think they're ugly, but I haven't made a rule against having them. Are there any good reasons (other than aesthetics) to disallow them? If you allow them, do they affect page load times significantly?

As long as they do not breach or go against the signature rules, I don't have a problem with em' - although I do agree that they're ugly.

Thanks. Thought it might be a stock market ticker screen that quickly moves.

    No images in our sigs.

We allow images and links in sigs if the member is a Super Member which requires monthly payments of 3000 TF Cash on our site :D Other than that, members are not allowed links or images, just text :)

Tickers are allowed by all means.

I've never come across anyone on my forum who has one, so don't know whether I'd allow them or not.

No, and only moderators can have images in their signatures. or anything but text or links in their sigs.

On other forums in my niche, members LOVE them and use 'em all the time, but my members I guess haven't discovered them yet so we don't have many people using them.
But I don't mind them at all; they are very fun for the members, so I think disallowing them is as bad as revoking a feature of the board.

I don't mind them, as long as they abide by the other rules.

We don't moderate signatures, but they're turned off by default.
