I like smaller forums to be honest :) I mean don't get me wrong, if my forums get to big board status, I will be okay with that but smaller communities have a better benefit than big ones... That being of course, you can meet more people and develop a better relationship with them easier than on a big board with TONS and TONS of people. That is my 2 cents.

I prefer a big community because you can become more friends with tons of people and there's more people to constantly discuss things. For example, I post on RealGM Chicago Bulls Board and we are tight-knit group even though RealGM is a huge board.

Let's say I would love a 1 mil members forum. Let's face it, a big community means more thrills and even money. Not to mention that, if you're doing your admining right, it can be easy to manage. my biggest forum is 60k posts / 2k members (would be 10k members, but I delete zero posts members on a regular basis) and super easy to manage. I'm the only one doing the admin/mod work and it's OK.

I would love a HUGE and bustling forum with

100s and 100s of thousand members and millions of post.

But then I think of my largest site currently(400 members with 70,000 posts) and all the drama we've dealt with on the site. And I mean there has been a LOT of drama.....I'm okay with small size for now:P
