This was a forum on a topic that I have an interest in. I signed up a week ago or so and today I got that email.

I did not spam the forum and I thought my post were good. Ok, now get this, here are the forum stats.

    But their deleting new members?

Wow, that's definitely a bad idea on their part. Maybe we should lure them here and teach 'em a thing or two? :P

Well, I guess they aren't going to get past 97 active members if they keep deleting legitimate users.

But do they have some sort of strict limitations? The e-mail says you don't meet their requirements. Have you any clue what the said requirements are?

I dont know. Everything was default vbulletin, the rules, the welcome message - everything. They were only using captcha so they might have been getting a lot of spam.

I thought about signing up late tonight and posting a lot of spam, just for the fun of it.

Sounds like they're trying to limit the user count to something they can imagine or mayhaps they only want a certain audience?

I guess they're one of those invite-only type places. :(

Dude, don't you have a Bushmaster or something...whats the problem :p

Seriously though, this sounds personal in my opinion. Do you know the members or mods on this site? I honestly can't imagine a site deleting accounts for the hell of it...especially that small.

Did they say anything about membership requirements when you signed up? What are these nebulous membership requirements anyway?

Excellent. Is there anything else that you would do? I only ask because your post is a bit irrelevant when compared to what is being discussed. :)

Kevin, I just realized that this is a vBulletin phrase and that it is a message that is sent out when accounts are deleted. I think it may only be sent to COPPA accounts though. Did you accidentally register as being under the age of 13?

The phrase is "moderation_deleted" and here are the contents:

That's the same sort of message you get at GFY or NetPond if you are uncool enough. For myself, though, I just move on. Not like I need them.

You say you already posted ?

Thats odd, cause as Nick pointed out, thats the message sent to moderated accounts if the registration is rejected.

I "thought" I had posted in the forum that deleted my account. But when I looked through the sections where I would have posted, I could not find anything.

I'am now thinking that it was one of the couple of forums that I registered on that the account had to be approved. The administrator then deleted the account instead of approving it.

Oh well, his lose, not mine.
