Do you have a slogan for your community? If so, how did you make it up?

I think it's nice to have a catchy slogan in addition to a unique forum name, as it makes it a much more personable experience, and it's more attractive as well.

If you don't have one, maybe you can tell us your site's name and what it's about and we can all share ideas, thinking of slogans for each other. :D

Mine is "The MINI Enthusiasts Home on the Internet"

The theme of the site is MINI Coopers

After weeks of brainstorming sessions with the staff over chat it came to me in the shower one afternoon. Good thing I keep white board markers to write my shower ideas on the glass, I'd have lost that to the other streams of thought that occupy my mind...

No official slogan, but sometimes my members have referred it as the happiest forum on earth or (last night) the second greatest show on earth. :)

I wanted to use "An atomic modicum of infinite." for an off-topic forum once. I basically made it using a thesaurus to replace regular words with those monsters. I posted it on a grammar forum to see what it was all about and if I should use it and I mainly got "He's a newbie, go easy on him" for my replies. :o

On my designs site, I use 'making an impression with style'.
I couldn't think of one for RHM, so I didn't bother with it.

RCTgo's pretty much embodies the entire purpose of the website:

For a Lost forum: "Theorize together, be wrong alone." You'd have to watch the show for that to make sense.

    We sort of have slogans:

Teen Forumz - The A Place for Teenagers
Mums Life - For mums and mummies to be

I would actually say theyre more like taglines :D

You know, I haven't really bothered to think up slogans for my forums. Do you think it's important in terms of branding? Do you use that in place of the forum description, or in addition to it?

We use ours in our header images on the teen site and in the welcome message on our pregnancy and parenting forums.

When submitting your site to directories and such, do you use the forum slogan as your description, or do you write a longer one?

We will write something along the lines of this:

Teen forums is an online teenage forum community where teens can seek advice, share advice and make new friends.

In the descriptions some people dont allow any form of advertising language like the A Place for teens.

I think AA's slogan should be "You can't stop with just one" :)

I'm currently in the process of brainstorming possible slogans for a coffee-related community that I'm thinking of creating in the near future. Seeing as I'm a coffee fanatic, you'd think this would be easy - it's not!

I like that. :) I'm racking my brain here - it's (for some reason) proving to be difficult to come up with a creative slogan. Here I am, sipping coffee from a large mug and I am unable to come up with something.
