does your host allow ssh access?

I have no clue how to use it anyways, so...

 

I prefer to have ssh access even on a shared host. Dreamhost offers SSH and it's useful.

 

I'm on a VPS so yes. My previous two hosts had it as well. I insist on it ebcause it's my only means to restore my database should I need to.

I have used it a couple of times for "test" restores, and I also used it once to move stuff from one host to another.
