I'm pretty sure you guys never even heard of this forum, it is created by JoomlaME. I use it on my site and its very good looking and more efficient.

Anyways, have guys heard of Agora?

Here are some resources to help understand it a bit better:
    Latest News (The developer's homepage)
Agora 3.0 - Joomla! Extensions Directory (Reviews from the Joomla directory)

Yes, it is open-source, which means it is free. And of course it is good, why else would I use it on my forum ?

I've never heard of it either, but then I'm not very familiar with Joomla. I've only set it up for other people a couple of times, and they were using vB with it.

Joomla is flexible like boulder and quick like frozen molasses. I tried, I really really tried, I gave it an honest shot and tried to force it to make a good landing page for Elliquiy.

Elliquiy's landing page is it's own CMS now, but I did fall in love with Drupal >_>

Well, Joomla isn't really that bad. It has changed quite a bit over the last few years. I myself find it easy to use Joomla. I'm no expert for sure, but the developers made it more easy for users to put content, components and modules.

Well, when I dealt with it you still couldn't break the section/category bit and some parts of the theme were still hardcoded (!?) - not make for sane or happy Vekseid.
