Any way to automatically get new members to tweet that they joined my forum?

    I've noticed that many of the Twitter directories you can get yourself listed on have a feature that automatically sends a message through your Twitter account saying "I've just joined SoandSo's directory". If I added a Twitter username field to the registration options, would there be any way to send such a message?

    I'm not sure how to do it automatically, but you might ask them to click a button which contained a URL like this?

    You would need a plugin that hits the Twitter API. Haven't really looked at the API so don't have exact code at this time.
