I do a weekly thread of updates - i figure if someone forgets about me, gets an email once a week with updated threads they posted in, it won't piss them off :)

Well, that's why you have the option to turn it off :) I have it on by default though, I want my members getting those emails.

I can understand that. It works better for some sites than others. And yes, I definitely turn it off as soon as I see the e-mails come rolling in (because I never remember to check for it until then).

I'd be interested in that poll vote notice too.
Looks like it works on 3.8.0 and 3.8.1---spect it would be ok on 3.8.2

Have weekly,by-weekly etc. contests and stuff with a post limit and a pat on the back if they win or something like that.
