The name "Baidu" actually sounds like it could be some sort of character or animal in Family Guy.

    - sure does...

How ever, Baidu is like the Chinese version of Google. It's the leading Chinese search engine.

I'm surprised, you've never heard of Baidu, Chris. Baidu ranked pretty high in Alexa's internet ratings quite a few times.

I'm surprised that I haven't, as well. It's possible that I've heard the term thrown around, but it's not ringing a bell.

    Weird...

Baidu visits many forums... I see the spider often crawling my About page and new posts page over at Setsou.

I think showing number of users online, is the best way to check site reputation and traffic.
every site must show number of users online, etc; guests, registered members,
I do show number of online visitor's( e.g; guests, members) on my site.
    :)
